Homemade Croutons
Ingredients:
1 loaf of bread (whole grain sourdough preferred)
2-3 tbsp. avocado oil
3-4 garlic cloves, minced
Salt & pepper
Instructions:
1. Stale bread works best, but a fresh loaf can work too.
2. Cut the bread into little pieces.
3. In a plastic baggie or a reusable silicone bag, add avocado oil, salt, pepper, and freshly minced garlic. Adjust the amount to your preferred taste.
4. Toss in the cut-up bread to coat & season it.
5. Layout bread pieces on a parchment-covered baking sheet.
6. Bake at 375 °F for 15-20 minutes, tossing halfway through. Cook well and let them get crispy.
Servings vary depending on how much bread you use.
*Make enough for the week to add to soups and salads.
*Store in an airtight container or a sealed baggie.
